Monte-Carlo WRC Rally January 20th - 22nd, 2006.
The Rally of Monte Carlo is the longest running FIA event in the World Rally Championship. The Rally first took place 94 years ago in 1911. Last year Sèbastien Loeb won for the third time in Monte-Carlo.
Sweden WRC Rally February 3rd - 5th, 2006.
The Rally of Sweden is full of snow packed stages so snow studded tyres are necessary on all of the stages. There have only been few non-Swedish drivers who have won this rally. Last year Petter Solberg won this rally for the first time.
Mexico WRC Rally March 3rd - 5th, 2006.
The Rally of Mexico has only had two rallies so far in the WRC Calendar. Last year the new Subaru with Petter Solberg made a maiden victory and went into the lead in the Drivers Championship by 34.5 seconds
Spain WRC Rally March 24th - 26th, 2006.
The Rally of Spain has change quite a lot over the last few years, it has changed it venue and now it has moved in the calendar from autumn to early spring. Last years winner was Sèbastien Loeb this made it an amazing ten wins for his 2005 season.
French WRC Rally April 7th - 9th, 2006.
The Rally of France takes place on a small island, which is just off of the coast of Italy. This Rally has also changed it date on the calendar this year. Like Spain it has changed from autumn to early spring. Last years winner was Sèbastien Loeb.
Argentina WRC Rally April 28th - 30th, 2006.
The Rally of Argentina is all ways a highlight of the season. This year Argentina like many other rallies has been moved from autumn to late spring. Last year Sèbastien Loeb won this rally, which made this win his 7th in the season.
Italian WRC Rally May 19th - 21st, 2006.
The Rally of Italy is based in Sardinia, which is an island that's just off the coast of Italy. Sardinia hosted the rally for the first time in 2004 when Petter Solberg lead the rally from start to finish Last years winner was Sèbastien Loeb.
Greece WRC Rally June 2nd - 4th, 2006.
The Rally of Greece has to be the toughest on the calendar a mix of twisty mountain stages, lots of dust and scorching hot. Last years rally was won by Sèbastien Loeb this win will always be remembered for the first rally driver ever to win 5th consecutive wins.
Germany WRC Rally August 11th - 13th, 2006.
The Rally of Germany was held in the Mosel region near a historic city of Trier. Trier is a beautiful city with many historic buildings, but most importantly there is lots or bars and restaurants in the town centre. Last years winner was Sèbastien Loeb.
Finland WRC Rally August 18th - 20th, 2006.
The Rally of Finland has been running for 45 years and during that time only 5 non-fins have ever one it. The Fin Marcus Grönholm has amazingly won this rally 7 times. Last year, Loeb almost won Finland but Marcus Grönholm managed to stop him to make it 8 wins.
Japan WRC Rally September 1st - 3rd, 2006.
The Rally of Japan joined into the WRC Calendar in 2004, it took the place of the Asia-pacific Rally Championship. Manufacturers Subaru and Mitsubishi wanted a rally near they key western car market. Last years winner was Marcus Grönholm.
Cyprus WRC Rally September 22nd - 24th, 2006.
The Rally of Cyprus has had a big change it has moved from may too late September. Cyprus is used too looking after big numbers of tourists so the spectators that will go will be well catered for. Last years winner was Sèbastien Loeb.
Turkey WRC Rally October 13th - 15th, 2006.
The Rally of Turkey is one of the newer rallies to the Calendar it is very worthy of being in the calendar for its rough, rocky gravel event. It has moved from June to October this year but this should not make much difference to the rally. Last years winner was Sèbastien Loeb.
Australia WRC Rally October 27th - 29th, 2006.
The Rally of Australia is full of the marble like gravel surface makes it really hard for the first stage runners. Lots of the cars get hit kangaroo's and end up retiring because of it. Last year winner was surprisingly Franç Duval.
New Zealand WRC Rally November 17th - 19th, 2006.
The Rally of New Zealand has changed back to the southern hemisphere. To win this rally you really need to have the best car control if you won in Australia you really do have a good chance of winning here too. Last years winner was Sèbastien Loeb.
Great Britain WRC Rally December 1st - 3rd, 2006.
The Rally of Great Britain was set in late summer but now it has been decided that it will return to windy and wet December. For the Last four year Petter Solberg has won this rally and he hopes to make it a fifth year.
