This Page will tell you about the up comming rally that are not in a championship but some that we have visted our selves and thorouly enjoyed.
Rally of Kent Cancelled, 2008.
The event will again be based in Ashford and will make use of the smooth forest stages in Challock, Bedgebury and Hempstead. The Rally of Kent has its roots back in 1987 and the first Kent Forestry Stages Rally run by Bexley Light Car Club. The rally started out every other year using only one forest but when sponsorship was secured from Barretts of Canterbury in 1997 the rally's future was assured.
Ypres Rally 26th – 28th June, 2008.
The Ypres rally is divided into two with the modern cars running first followed by the historic and post historic cars over the weekend Based in the Historic town of Ypres in Belgiun the rally takes over the centre of the town. The rally route also goes through the centre of small villages where the cars are watched enthusiastically by large crowd with lots of beer.
Tour of Flanders Rally 12th – 13th September, 2008.
The Tour of Flanders or more correctly Omloop van Vlaanderen is based around the Expohallen building on the Roeselare ring road in Belgium. The route of the rally is compact being an all tarmac rally with long straights and 90 degree bends. A large amount of power with good brakes gave a distinct advantage to the competitors.
